Working as a freelance writer for Academic Knowledge is flexible enough for you to fit around work and family commitments and may be done from anywhere in the world. All that you need is access to the internet and word processing software. Many writers also work with us while studying further qualifications, benefiting from the flexibility associated with the role.

Examples of the types of areas that you may be asked to write about include theories of nursing, nursing ethics, nurse prescribing, reflective nursing accounts, evidence-based practice in nursing, inter-professional health care and nursing research. Our writing jobs will allow you the flexibility to work in your own time and further develop your academic skills.

Requirements

Ideally, you will be a high quality graduate in nursing or a related subject, with experience of working as a nurse in the UK, US or Australia. You will hold at least a bachelor’s degree in nursing, this can include Adult, Child, Mental Health Nursing or another related health care subject, although writers with higher levels of qualification are always welcome and have the opportunity to take on more challenging projects.

To be eligible to apply for this vacancy you must have:

  1. A minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent (60%+)
  2. Excellent written English skills

Earnings

As this role is freelance, the earnings are based upon the hours worked, the standard of work completed and the number of words written each day. You can use the calculator to gain an idea of the rates of pay we are able to obtain for you.
