* These prices represent the vast majority of order rates; yet in some niche areas, we are able to gain a higher rate for you, while a few other areas attract a lesser rate. Also, these prices represent the base rates but, as the freelance academic writing is seasonal, we are able to obtain significantly higher fees during peak periods. The rates shown are after deduction of our agency fee.

At Academic Knowledge, we're proud to secure some of the best rates of pay in the industry for the writers we work hard for. Established in 2003, we have a proven track record of obtaining fees and paying our researchers regularly and on time.

We're delighted to have procured a whopping £9 million in fees for researchers since 2009. With 1 in 10 writers working with us full time, and 1.5% of our researcher’s invoices being over £5000 a month, we're honoured to be a long standing institution within the writing industry. To read more about what it’s like writing with us, straight from the mouths of writers we already work for, be sure to take a read of our writer case studies.

Our fee rates are designed to be easy to work with and understand. We pledge to always be up front and honest about the fees we obtain for you – virtually all work on offer displays a fixed fee that you will receive for completing the work. In these instances, we will add on our agency fees and costs to calculate the overall cost the client pays. The standard rule is that our agency fees and costs are double your researcher fee.

The rates we secure for work are based on three simple factors:
